The Natural Gardener

One of Mark's favorite places is the Natural Gardener. They have tons of plants experts, beautiful gardens and even a few chickens and goats! We went with my mom and dad while they were here and had a ton of fun. Mark isn't in the pictures because he's busy asking one of the many experts about a problem he's having with his seedlings, always researching....
Playing in one of the water fountains
Swinging with Nana
Playing with Nana and Boppa in the HUGE windchimes
Telling Nana some stuff

This bridge was great!
Not sure how many trips we took across it...

Canyon Lake

We took a drive to Canyon Lake, where my brother and Sam bought their new house. Mark went up earlier in the day with my dad to help shingle the new shed and Mom and I drove up later to meet them. Wade is a pretty scheduled little creature and didn't like the fact that we were throwing off his nap time. He screamed most of the way down, or maybe it just seemed like it. He had a blast at their house- it has an island in the kitchen and is so open that he just did lap after lap after lap. The ride back was much better, he stayed awake for the entire ride, about an hour, but only got a little fussy towards the end.

Sandbox adventures

Mark and Dad built a sandbox for Wade. When they brought it in he was busy playing in the yard, but as soon as he saw the sand being poured in he couldn't wait to find out what was going on! He couldn't even wait for them to finish filling it before he climbed in. He had such a blast and discovered many more jobs that he had to do including shoveling sand into various containers and hiding everyone's feet and hands and uncovering them again.

Nana and Bop-pa's visit

As soon as Nana and Bop-pa Kludt stepped in the door, Wade suddenly transformed into Wade, The Entertainer! He would dance and spin to music in the evenings, fake cough for pats on the back and make faces and giggle his way through lunch. Eventually though, he did calm down and his grandparents became another staple in his everyday life.

Every time they would walk back to their room, Wade would follow them and click (his signal for snack- I think because click and snack sound so much alike). Over the baby monitor, I would hear the rustle of a plastic bag and Wade would come out with a grin on his face carrying 2 cookies ("One for each hand").

Wade was also constantly on patrol for things that were not up to his standards. If Bop-pa would set a glass down on the table Wade would tell him "uh-oh," to make sure he knew this was not where it was supposed to go. This was also for doors that were left open and shoes left unattended on the floor.

Wade got a rocking horse/bouncer as a gift from his grandparents. He loves to sit on it and watch TV in the mornings. Bop-pa's pretty sure he's going to be able to manuver it around the house before too long!

It was so great having my parents here. They stayed for about 2 weeks and the time seemed to fly by! They got to visit my school and see me "in action," as well as get roped into announcing for a paper airplane contest- THANKS DAD! We went to my brother's new house in Canyon Lake, visited the Natural Gardener, built a sandbox and a million other things! I hate to see them go, but I know they will be back soon, when Wade's little cousin is born in June :) I can't wait...
