I love that having a kid means I have an excuse to do all the fun holiday stuff, like coloring eggs! After Wade tried to eat the eggs (shell and all), we fairly successfully, colored them. They did look like balls though, which meant they needed to be thrown on the floor to see if they bounce. They didn't and we lost a few but the rest turned out pretty darn good.

Easter
This Easter was fun because Wade knew something was going on. He immediately found his Easter basket and was very excited about all the fun stuff inside. We tried jelly beans, but to Momma's dismay, didn't like them. After all the excitement, Wade needed a break and curled up with Babe for a (short) rest.
Hi!
Dear Aunt Jay Jay and Uncle Pat,
Just wanted to say hi and thanks for the cool new clothes. I miss you and hope to see you and Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa again soon!
Love, Wade

Wildseed Farms (Bluebonnet Pictures)
We decided to take a trip to Fredericksburg and visit Wildseed Farms. They have fields of poppys and bluebonnets everywhere. Wade loved running around and picking (oops) the flowers!
After that, we stopped to get lunch on our way home and found a nice park where Wade played, and played, and played, and played... Needless to say, that made him nice and tired for the trip home!

Spring time is here!
Spring has sprung! Around here that usually means gardens, grilling and being outside. Here are some pictures that show what we've been up to with all of the beautiful weather we've been having lately.
Farmer Mark is very proud of the start to his summer garden
Right now we have leeks, lettuce, carrots,
spinach, swiss chard, beans and peas.
We'll be planting tomatos, cukes, peppers and assorted spices soon.
Master of the grill.
Trying corn on the cob for first time.
He really liked it, but only after we'd already eaten

or cut most of the kernals off first, such a weird kid...
Zilker Park Garden Festival
We went down to Botanical Gardens in Austin last weekend to the Garden Festival. It was basically just a bunch of vendors with tons of plants and outdoor goodies to sell. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time playing outside and wander around the gardens.
Wade checking out the flowers.
Just before Wade ripped the petals off the beautiful iris!
Notice the mischevious look on his face...
(By the way, just kidding about the coffee...)
