Sweetberry Farms

So it hasn't rained in Texas in I don't know how long. But do you know when it DID rain? Today. On our annual trip to the pumpkin patch at Sweetberry Farms. But was this mommy going to get discouraged? No way! Wade was so excited to see his cousins and all the pumpkins and to feed the goats that we just had to stay and stick it out. Eventually the rain stopped and it turned out to be a nice day (whew). The kids were so excited (and muddy), running and climbing all over the place! They wore themselves out and all the adults were pretty tired by the end of the trip too :)

Here's some pictures from our soggy trip to the pumpkin patch:

I LOVE this picture of Haley!

Feeding the goats- "that tickles!"

Stopping to smell the beautiful flowers

These gourds were so cool, they were growing up a trellis and hanging down.

Tractor ride- Haley and Wade were thrilled, but Annabelle HATED it!

11 weeks

In the last couple of weeks, everything has been rolling along just fine. We went to our OB/GYN appointment and got a few beautiful pictures of Number 2 and heard the heartbeat- 167 beats per minute, I forgot how fast it is! The baby measured just right for a due date around April 24th and looked just like a kidney bean :)

We go to our first midwife appointment with our new midwives, Kari and Brielle, on the 12th. So far so good, and things seem to be sailing along smoothly.

First dentist appointment

Wade really handled his first dentist appointment like a pro! He was a little nervous since I called him a doctor, but after the AWESOME dental hygienist showed him all the tools and how they worked, he relaxed a bit. What really sealed the deal though, was the TV that they had above his head so he could watch cartoons while they cleaned his teeth :) I'm not sure he even knew what was happening! The dentist was so nice (the same one that Mark & I go to, he's not even a pediatric dentist- but he should be!) and super quick. We were in and out in 20 minutes for the checking in, cleaning, an emergency potty break, 2 Toy Story stickers, a sucker (sugar free, of course), and a new tooth brush. The dentist said his teeth look great, all 20 of them, and we'll have a break from getting new teeth until he's 6 years old or so. Which is when he'll begin loosing his baby teeth- wow. Hadn't thought about that, what a big boy. Growing up so fast...

To reward Wade's awesome dentist appointment, we went to the huge indoor inflatable park, Big Bounce. Our friend April and her son Parker met us there, they are just a few days apart in age and have so much fun together :)
