25 weeks

New developements in the little life of Lily... she's recently developed hiccups. But only around 3 or 4 am, which is... interesting. It almost feels like that little muscle twitch you sometimes get by your eye. So, yes, interesting is what I'll call it. I can also tell she's growing like a weed, because (1) it feels like she's getting a little cramped in there with all the kicking and twisting and turning and (2) I'm constantly starving, even after I've just finished a meal. Geez.

Wade is slowly becoming more accepting of his little sister, "Luly." He told me the other day that he wanted to sleep in her room. When I asked her why he said it was to be close to her. As if that wasn't sweet enough, when I asked him why he needed to be close to her, he said it was to help her- like bring her a bottle, hold her and sing her songs. Yes, I almost cried.

The nursery is also coming right along. After a small meltdown, where I'm pretty sure Mark was scared for his life, the walls miraculously turned pink! I also suddenly received multiple emails and phone calls from prospective buyers of Wade's crib and sellers of beautiful used white cribs (I have been scouring Craigslist like crazy). So, this last weekend alone, I sold his crib and got hers; the crib bumper came in the mail and the room was painted a bright shade of "pink frenzy."

Beautiful pink walls, white crib and sweet little owl crib bumper. Still waiting on mobile & crib sheet to make it complete...

Merry Christmas!

This year we spent Christmas morning at our house opening gifts. Wade was so surprised by all the presents under the tree at first he just sat in front of it and called us out of bed, "Guys! Come here!" Quickly he got the hang of it, and he was pretty sure that all the presents under the tree were for him and he needed to open them all. He had a great time both tearing open his gifts and playing with the new toys he got from both us and Santa.

Santa's been here!

Stockings all filled and ready to go

So excited about his new tools

After we finished at our house, we headed over to Shelly & Greg's for a pajama party and some breakfast. It was much fun to go over there and let the kids continue to play with their new things and continue our relaxing morning.

Mark trying out some of our first new little girl gifts. At least we know they'll work in short hair ;)

After that, we headed back home to take our naps :) Then back out again to Mary & Dave's house for dinner. It sounds like a lot of back and forth, but it really was very casual and relaxing and we had a great time spending the day with family.

Merry Christmas everyone!
