36 weeks

This week's midwife visit went well. Heartbeat is strong and she's as fiesty as ever. I am actually 3-4 cm dialated, which could mean I may have her any day now, or in a week or two! Brielle and Kari did say that as soon as I know anything or something changes to give them a call right away- especially during rush hour traffic! Since Mom & Dad got here Monday, they were able to meet both midwives.

Mom's guess of 3/27 has come and gone, so she's out of the running!

Speaking of which, Mom & Dad are all settled in and we are having a blast with them around. Wade is loving all the attention from Nene and Papa "Barrell." Although he's trying his hardest to change that to Papa K :)

Here are a few pictures of what they have been up to in the last few days.

Dominoes in my toes!

Playing army guys with Papa

Crashing cars with Nene

And I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on any exciting news ;)

36 weeks- sorry for the terrible picture, I was headed to bed!

35 weeks

Kari and Brielle came for their home visit last week. As they were checking me out, one of them mentioned that Lily was "sunny side up," which, although not terrible, is not the best position for her to be in. As they were feeling around on my belly, she gave a few kicks and readjusted herself. Brielle said, "Oh, there she goes, she's good now." After taking her heartrate, which was pretty slow, everyone decided that she must have been sleeping and all the poking and prodding woke her up. So she rolled over and went back to sleep :)

Brielle also mentioned that she had been planning on going camping next week, but she cancelled her trip. She's pretty sure she's going to be staying close to home from here on out! I can also tell that Lily has dropped because of all the pressure I'm feeling. I don't remember that with Wade...

One that note, everyone has started taking bets on when she'll make her big appearance. So far:
Mom- 3/27
Mary- 4/4
Aunt Jay- 4/6
Dad- 4/7
Sam- 4/8
Shelly- 4/10
Me- 4/16
Actual due date- 4/24

Good thing Mom & Dad moved their visit up! They should be here by Tuesday (3/26). Can't wait to see them :)

Spring has sprung

After quite a few days of straight rain, it has started to dry up and become very nice to be outside. This is a great time of year, everything is still green and it's not too hot (yet). So, we've been spending quite a bit of time outside, while we still can!

One day, I was spraying off Wade's outside toys. The next thing I know, he has no pants on, and is playing in the mud puddle I created. Then he sat in it.

They opened this great park in Round Rock for children of all abilities. Nearly everything (it might actually be EVERYTHING) is wheelchair accessible. I can't believe there hasn't been a park like this before... April and I took the boys there and they had a blast! In between arguments they were best friends, as always ;)

We went out for pizza one day and Wade was enthralled with the car racing game. He and Umma took quite a ride!

Nursery

The carpet has been installed :) so it's back to the grindstone around here! Turns out Wade really likes to help me clean baseboards... Give him a sponge and a bucket of water and WATCH OUT! The walls, doors and baseboards all got a good scrubbing. Well, random parts of them did until he got sidetracked and needed to clean a chair or shelf, etc.

Speaking of cleaning, here's where I had started scrubbing the grout on the kitchen floor. You can definitely tell where I left off that day. It's a S-L-O-W process, but it will be nice when it's all done.

I thought Lily's nursery was all done. Here are some pictures:

I was really excited when I found these cute owl decals on clearance at Kohls. However, I'm a little disappointed, because they fall off the walls! I was hoping to avoid having Mark cut owls out of wood, me paint them and mom paint a tree on the wall, but it looks like that might still be the way to go...

A few weekends ago, I went to a huge consignment sale. Although Lily doesn't really NEED anything, I did find a few things I couldn't resist. Including the tiniest swimsuit I have ever seen. Girl stuff is just so cute.

I have finally decided on Lily's birth day outfit. I have a few options depending on the weather and how big she is. No doubt I have embraced all the pink!
