Where to begin...
Last week, Mark & I found our pediatrician, which has been a big stress for me. Once we went in to meet him (where he sat down and talked with us for an hour), we instantly knew he was the guy for us. He is very open to letting us have some say about our kid (imagine that) and not pushing all the newest fads upon us. He is also very much ok with the homebirth idea, which is kind of hard to find in the medical field. Plus he's kind of quirky and has lots of random bits of information and Mark really likes that.

Yesterday was my baby shower at school. It was so sweet- just look at the cake! Everyone was s0 thoughtful about the gifts for Wade and I (especially the camo shoes)!
Last Wednesday, we were supposed to have our home visit with (midwife) Mary. She had called to ask us to move up the time so she could go to the opera (which we did), and then she forgot she was supposed to be at our house. Luckily, Cammie, the assistant
who we really like, was able to come out and do a quick check up. So, we met with (midwife) Mary today and had a really nice visit and basically cleared up all the last minute preparations (where things are in our house, how things will go, etc.). She strongly suggested that I shorten my day to 6 hours. Luckily, my long-term sub is already hired and has been in the classroom with me for a couple of days already. Hopefully they will let her take over for a couple hours in the morning and afternoon...

P.S. Brandon has officially lost the bet, but Sam is still in the running.
