No pictures, but some updates...

Well, I guess even if I am having trouble uploading pictures onto this blog, I can still let everyone know how things are going... Also, you can look at some new pictures in my photo album if you click on this: http://picasaweb.google.com/abk217/BabyWade

Wade is doing great! At first, he had a little bit of jaundice and we had to spend some time in the sun- outside if it was warm enough, or in the window. We would put him in his chair with a heating pad under a blanket- he really loved his sun baths!

At his day 1 appointment with Cammie, he was down to 7 lbs 9 oz, at his day 3 a ppt. he was 7 lbs 8 oz, and at his 1 week appt. he was up to 7 lbs 12 oz. We took him to the pediatrician for the first time on Monday (his 2 week birthday). We were there for almost 2 hours! He did really good and only got fussy when he was hungry, so of course I had to breastfeed him in the nearly full waiting room :) I guess all shame goes out the window after becoming a mother! At this appointment, they told us that he had gained back all the weight he had lost plus some- he was 8lbs 7 oz! That means he gained 11 oz in one week. He also had grown 3/4 in. and is now 22 inches long. I'd hope he's growing with all the eating he's doing! He eats every 3-4 hours during the night and nearly every hour during the day!

Mark and I gave Wade his first of many kitchen-sink baths. So far he really doesn't like them too much. He hates being cold! We did figure out that if we sit him up and put a warm, wet washcloth on his back or belly he settles down for a bit.

I take him out for walks in his stroller around the subdivision on days when it's not too cold. He seems to really like these rides, he usually has his eyes open and is very alert.
He also does well on trips out. If it's an extended trip, like grocery shopping, I usually put him in the Baby Bjorn pack and he sleeps the whole time. He has even let us go out to eat a couple times. But, we definately prepare for the worst and order our food to go- just in case!
