I had to stop on my way to school the next morning (after the 2 hour delay- yay!), this is such an unusual sight. Snow is still on the ground and snowmen. They didn't fully melt until two days after the initial snow- unheard of in Texas!

...and then it snowed?!
Every winter, we get one or two days where the weatherman predicts snow, blizzards, ice, etc. Everyone freaks out, stocks up on canned goods and then it never really happens. This year, however, it did! I tend to forget that the kids in my class may have never seen snow before, so this time I let them go outside to play in it. It was great- the snowflakes were huge chunks of snow! Parents were taking their kids home early just to play in it :) Then we had a 2-hour delay the next morning! Wade and I were all bundled up and playing in the snow...
