Greg and Shelly decided it was time for ALL of us (we seem like such a big family now) to take a family vacation. They researched and finally found a wonderful beach house in Galveston.

It was right on the beach and around the corner from a few super-cool pools including one with a lazy river. It was very kid-friendly and if I hadn't been so worried about the loudness factor with so many people in such a small place it would have been even better! LOL, live and learn :) Wade did a pretty good job all-in-all sleeping in a different place for only the 2nd time in his life. His first trip to the beach was a success! He loved the waves splashing him in the face and knocking him over. I had to hold my breath from the shore as Wade and Mark would wander out and the come back to shore, wander out and come back to shore. He has no sense of fear.

Relaxing with Daddy in the lazy river
He absolutely loved the beach and all the pools- he's such a waterbug! He and the girls swim, ate, played and slept- what a life! Vacations for parents, however, are a completely different creature altogether. Gone are the days of napping by the pool. Now we're constantly on alert, watching as Wade would throw himself into the water, wander off and stick his face in the pool. We were just sure that he would end up drowing or injured the moment we took our eyes off of him.
Ahh the life (without kids)! Tim & Audrey
