I feel like every time Wade does something new, Lily has to do something new too! I have visions of future sibling rivalry...
So, Wade had his first official soccer game this past weekend. He REALLY didn't want to play. I was shocked, but I guess (in talking with the other parents) most kids are like this at first. In fact, there were quite a few in tears on the fields and sidelines. Then they suddenly love it. Or they don't and we don't play soccer next year ;)
The only way he'd play was if one of us was actually on the field with him. Which was fine, because we weren't the only ones... In fact, one mom was actually picking her kid up and swinging him around to knock the ball into the soccer goal. That was a little over the top. No one knew whether to congratulate her or her kid on the goal... Another kid kept wandering off the field to play with a hula hoop, until he noticed the blue spray painted lines around the field. Then he crawled all along them instead. His mom said she'd rather have him doing that then running off the field and left him to it. As it turns out, 3-year-old soccer games are pretty entertaining :)

Ready, set... ok, just stand there

I'm not so sure about this...

Excited about a goal, or trying to fly off of the field
Over these last few days, Lily has been perfecting her sitting up skills. She can sometimes balance for a few minutes before toppling over. It really is only a matter of time (probably a few days) before she'll be sitting like a pro. She has noticed that the taller she gets, the cooler the toys up there are. Wade's amused by her. For now. Before she really starts to become a pest ;)
