Goofy kid...

Wade has done an amazing job at basically, potty training himself. When he went back to daycare after winter break, Lety, the lady who watches him during the week, and I planned for extra outfits, multiple accidents, etc. Lo and behold, he has had 0 accidents since he went back to daycare after the break- that we 3 weeks ago!!

We haven't done a whole lot recently, including not taking a lot of pictures. Wade is extremely talkative now, however, and has entered the "why" stage. Everything is answered with "why" even when he doesn't really want an answer, it's almost an instict. He has said some pretty funny things lately, here are just a few I can think of off the top of my head:

We asked Wade, "What does a giraffe say?"

He thought for a minute, then answered "giraffe, giraffe" in a high, squeaky voice.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure I even know what a giraffe says...

After playing in his crib for about an hour and a half (instead of napping), he began calling, "Mark, come 'ere" from his crib.

Mark was gone one evening and I was finishing up dinner. Wade was already at the table eating and suddenly he said what sounded like, "rock and roll!" "Did you just say rock and roll," I asked him. He stopped eating and yelled, "Yes, rock and roll!"

We were playing outside and Wade would go behind the bushes and every time he would say goodbye and pretend to leave. I said, "Bye, Wade. See you later." He responded with, "Bye, bye alligator!"

We were reading a book (on the potty) today about the very hungry monster. One line is, "Six hungry monsters, underneath a rug, tracking down some footprints to catch a tasty bug." I always say, "Ewww! I don't eat bugs, do you?" Depending on his mood, he'll either say yes or no. Today it was yes, so I asked him, "You eat bugs!? Do you eat spiders too?" Wade said, "Yes, 'piders yummy! I eat 'piders. Daddy no eat 'piders, daddy eat shoop (soup)."

He told me the other day (on the potty), "Oh! Poo poos comin', poo poos no at beach, poo poos come back beach." Apparently he made this story up at Lety's house, how the poo poos go to the beach and then come back and make an appearance in the toliet...

I wish I could remember all the funny things he says, he's such a character. I'll have to start writing them down. And taking more pictures :/
