Today was a snow day! I know, everyone up north is laughing their butts off because we shut down highways and schools for a measley 1/2 inch of snow... I do have to say, however, that my road was a solid block of ice until about 10:30 this morning!
I was really hoping to have some snow and get a day off to play with Wade. I even woke up at 2 am and peeked outside to check on the snow status- I was so excited that I couldn't get back to sleep for about an hour! My wish came true at 5 am when my alarm when off and I checked the district website to find that school had truly been closed! Wade wasn't so sure at first, when he climbed onto his slide and tried to jump off, but slipped and fell face-first into the cold, white stuff! After he got over that, I threw a snowball at him and he thought it was hilarious! We took turns chasing each other and throwing snowballs. Everything melted by about 12:30, so it's a good thing we got out there early!
After we came in, I made hot chocolate and toast cut up into little men (Dad- :) ). Wade liked it ("Mmm, mmm, Momma! It's yummy in my tummy!") until his toast got soggy, then he fell apart- apparently it's NOT supposed to do that!
We did some painting after that, and although Wade enjoys it, he enjoys mixing all the paints together a little bit more then the actual painting... Kind of like at dinner, when he dips he broccoli into mustard and then BBQ sauce (much to his dad's dismay). Strange, I know...
Anyway, it's been a wonderful snow day so far and it's not over yet :)

Sounds like a fun day!! I can just imagine what fun Wade would have in the foot of snow we have!
We really enjoyed spending some time with Wade yesterday. He made us all pizza!! Glad to hear you had a snow day today...
